SpringHill Suites Tampa
Tampa, FL
Located in the heart of Tampa’s urban coastal district, the SpringHill Suites was designed to deliver a hospitality experience that feels both locally inspired and distinctly elevated. The project included a custom interior design package for all back-of-house and public spaces, including a rooftop bar and pool area that serves as a vibrant destination for both guests and locals. While maintaining the standards of the Marriott International SpringHill Suites brand, the design embraces the character of Tampa through warm coastal influences, layered textures, and curated social spaces.
To create a more authentic and memorable guest experience, the team developed a fully customized interiors package featuring bespoke finishes, a custom lobby bar, and rooftop amenities with unique design elements that move beyond the feel of a prototype branded property. Artwork and digital wallcoverings were carefully curated in collaboration with the art supplier to reinforce the project’s connection to its location and atmosphere.
The project was highly collaborative from concept through construction. The design team worked closely with the architect and engineering teams using Revit software to coordinate design and technical requirements, while regular client presentations ensured alignment with the project vision. Coordination with the purchasing agent helped maintain both design intent and specification standards, and close collaboration with the millwork fabricator throughout construction administration ensured the custom elements were executed as designed.
By creating a hospitality environment that feels rooted in place while still delivering the consistency of a trusted brand, the project helps the client attract a broader audience and establish the property as a destination within Tampa’s growing urban hospitality scene.
